Voice is looking for volunteers, financial support, and most of all, your vote!!

The decision to run in a civic election can be a very daunting proposition to an unaligned or independant candidate. As an electors organization, going through the process of talking to people who have expressed interest, or talking to people the organization might have an interest in, you realize just how overwhelming the process really is to prospective candidates. There always will be independants, and that is the way it should be. However, Voice now gives an avenue for people to explore, to question, and to determine if the organization is a fit for them.
Voice is completing the final steps toward a full slate, and it certainly has been an invigorating process.
It is very clear that Voice is a neighborhood focused, issues driven breed of cat, and that it is an organization that has appealed to a vast range of individuals. In speaking to many of these good folks, it is clear that the issue of transparency and the prospect of being free of the clutches of special interests has caught the attention of many of them.
It is very gratifying that a great number of the members of the public agree with many of the tenets that Voice was founded on.
It is clear that this community is ready for change.
It is also clear that this community craves for leaders with vision, leaders who have integrity, and leaders who have the skillset and the competence to get this City and the School Board moving forward.
Voice provides that leadership, that vision, that integrity and that competence.
Voice is looking for volunteers, financial support, and most of all, your vote!!
Be a part of this great grass roots movement, join Voice, as it steers this community back on course.
Support those people who have made the brave decision to put their name forward, support them so that this city can once again be the leader that it's residents, businesses and taxpayers deserve.

I agree sm. I was initially under the mistaken perception that Voice was a political party...I now know I was wrong.
Voice is a fantastic vehicle where concerned community advocates like me can gather to add volume to their cries for change.
Thank you Voice members for your vision, and for keeping the door open for all of us.
I am most grateful for the clarity this very informed group of community builders offers me.
I have made voice my choice.
I will urge everyone I know to do the same.

Well as someone once said in regards to Voice, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck..... then a political party it must be!!!

Obviously commentator-anonymous is "quackers" and needs a reality-check. Clearly, Voice is a "non-partisan" entity because it is independent of political parties. There are none of the prescribed, narrow, rigid demands that are completely arbitrary and are typical of the conditions/mandate associated with a political party, a party faction, or a special-interest group.

Voice is an "elector's organization" whose mandate is to promote candidates to run for local office. The candidates that Voice endorses are political in that they are committed to run for public office to serve the community, but that is entirely different from the organization being 'political'.

As an elector's organization, Voice New Westminster believes that the candidates they endorse will fulfill the duties of public office in the spirit of what is in the best interests of ALL of New Westminster, not just one segment of the community.

Voice is not affiliated with any one, specific political party or special interest group; it is "non-partisan!!"

Voice promotes inclusive governance that takes everybody's interests and input into consideration. Given the choice, give me Voice because my preference would be to vote for candidates who have a handle on the "big picture," not those who view everything through a restrictive lens.
