Grimston Park and the School "Options" - Update
The News Leader is reporting that Grimston Park has been "taken off the table. This should change the nature of tonight's meeting at the New Westminster Secondary Library. Is the mayor a part of this change of plan? He was supposed to be one of the architects of the original "options" yet has been conspicuous by his absence.
Thanks for the links and the update. There's a lot of anger in the West End about the idea that we could lose our only park. No "net loss" of park space may look good from Victoria, but to those of us here who would have to drive our kids across town to play it's just not good enough.
Curious... does/should one have to be a resident of New Westminster to be the mayor/councillor/trustee?
And shouldn't they?
